New Youtube Layouts etc

A few people have mentioned it, so I thought I'd give a brief blog on my opinions.
I'm not fussed any more about what Youtube do. I've come to accept that Vimeo will always be better than Youtube in alot of perspectives. Some times we've even jumped to conclusions in thinking a new feature on Youtube is crap. At first, I hated the idea of wide screen, but now I think videos in wide screen look brilliant.

The only reason I get annoyed at Youtubes updates is because it just feels like they've forgotten about things that need to be attended to, LIKE GIVING ME A PROGRESS BAR.

Although, I must stay, getting instant ad's is impressive, I remember i'd used to have to wait hours/days to get ads on my videos. Now I get them within the minute I set revenue sharing.

Just thinking about partnership in general, when it first came to the UK it was a huge thing, I remember a few of the first partners were Jimmy, Alex, Phil and wisemanthree (if anyone remembers him). I remember doug lied about being 18 to be a partner, then turned 18 a couple months later XD

Wait, how did I get to this point? I was talking about Youtube layout, haha.

There are bugs on Youtube that I honestly think they have failed to notice. When you go to send a video to someone, which I rarely do anyway, you click send and it comes up with "You have forgotten to put in the captcha code" or some bullshit like that, but it wasn't there when I went to click send. It's not a massive problem, just inconvenient and a bit embarrassing for google to make a mistake like that.

Another bug that needs to be fixed, I can't comment on my own videos using kickthepj, which i've made people aware of already. I don't get why that should ever be a problem. I think Shawna has the same problem.

Me and Dale were talking earlier about Vimeo and how much better it is than Youtube, and I recall saying "Vimeo give you a complimentary HD camcorder when signing up whereas Youtube give you a potential banning for signing up". His response was something like "Yeah! We're going to have to remove your account for using material that may/may not be copyrighted". It made me laugh haha.

I'm gonna leave it at that.

p.s my ears are still ringing. It's horrible. Get a sample of white noise that will loop forever, whack it on your i pod, and listen to that until you finally fall asleep. Make sure to have it on full blast. And there you go, that's how I feel right now.
